I sometimes wonder why most of my Ghanaian people are hypocrites. We actually don’t do what we preach.
We recently started a campaign for promoting Ghana music beyond borders by always saying support our own, but here we are trying to destroy our very own Wendy Shay with fake news.
Let compare our music industry to our sister country Nigeria, we see a lots of female talents doing great beyond borders but here in Ghana how many of our women are going far? The young woman just sacrificed her nursing profession to pick up the microphone to entertain Ghanaians and all we can do is to pull her down rather than showing her love.
May God forbid but if she dies today then the entire nation will support her dead body. What a shame? Our primitive mentally is destroying our talents always.
Wendy Shay came in less than a year but she has already gotten 3 consecutive bangers and here we are with another powerful one with Kuame Eugene and Sarkodie which is an obvious banger as well.
Which of our male artistes has even done what she has done this year? If you can’t support her then you must shut up because she is really doing great as at now and I’m very hopeful she is our next Yaa Asantewaa in Ghana Music.
My beautiful Wendy take note of this; even at all if no one support what you are doing, I Afrikaba Ronnie I’m in love with what ever you are doing.
And to Rufftown Records/ AVO team I encourage you to keep pushing our female talents and God will keep shining your stars.
I am hopeful to see Wendy Shay picking alots of awards especially VGMA new artiste of the year.
Once again let stop the “PHD”attitude and support “OUR OWN”
