Don Kweli made Nzemas proud at the just ended “Made In Taadi Concert 2019” organized by Kofi Kinaata which saw several top acts Shatta Wale, Obrafour, Kwaw Kesse, Pappy Kojo, Kofi Mole, Quamina MP and many more gracing the occasion.
When the “Happy Life” hitmaker took to the stage to perform, the chants from the crowd clearly defined his weight in the region so far as music is concerned.
During his performance he passed a comment that has raised lots eyebrows and anger with patrons describing the comment as ethnocentric and a calculated attempt by the ‘Kundum fever” hitmaker to draw the line between Nzemas and other ethnic groups within the region.

He said “Nzemaafo mbra enyim na nkaafono nk) ekyir” meaning the Nzemas in the crowd should come forward and the non-Nzemas should move backwards.
Nzema’s in the crowd however felt elated and proud with the comment from Don Kweli as they charged to the front row feeling properly represented at the concert as their hit man performed his songs amidst loud cheers from the populated crowd in an event far away from Nzema.

However, I see no ethnocentrism in the comment from where I sit. I can only say Don Kweli made his people proud and that’s that.
