This 12-track sophomore studio album, titled “Omanhene,” is the work of Dee Moneey, a rising hip-hop artist from Ghana.
All of the songs on the album, according to Dee Moneey, were written in honor of his father, whose passing inspired him to get back into the recording studio.
‘Omanhene‘ being the title of the supreme traditional ruler in several Akan nations in Ghana, was his father’s nickname amongst his friends.
Dee Moneey has developed a style that combines Hip-Hop, Techno, Dance, House, and Hip-life inflection to produce a distinctive sound for a generation that was reared on Hip-life, Hip-Hop, and Pop music.
As a matter of fact, Dee Moneey has come a long way since his debut song, “Kpokpo O Body,” in 2011. He has made sure to refine his style and advance his skill as his fan base expands globally.
